Books. Amy is the Senior Acquisitions Editor at the   University Press of Florida. She discusses the basics of non-fiction book publishing, icluding the best way to present your project to a busy editor, how to find an appropriate publisher for your book, and what happens once you have finished the manuscript.

4:00PM – 4:50 – Page One: Get it Right – First Page Critiques with Philip F. Deaver/Steve Glassman/Jack McDevitt – Three master craftsmen will listen to a selection of first pages from your short story or novel and offer their constructive criticisms. If you'd like to be considered, please turn in your page at the registration table in the morning. Indicate whether it's from a short story or novel and include the title and your name.


5:00PM  – Adjournment. Please join us at Barbara Jeans on the Intracoastal for more networking and spirited conversation.
